Among the activities in fiscal 2019 to support access to water, in March
2019 the Company donated aid to the NPO Reach Alternatives
(REALs)*1, which aims to prevent ethnic and regional conflicts in
Africa and the Middle East, as well as stop them from growing or restarting.
The financial aid donated by the Company was used to improve sanitation
facilities such as toilets and showers at the Mangateen IDPs site for
internally displaced persons in the city of Juba, the capital of the
Republic of South Sudan.
In addition, in March 2019 the Company made a
donation to Water Aid Japan, the Japanese branch of U.K.-based NGO Water
Aid, which specializes in dealing with water and sanitation issues. The
donated money was used in a water and sanitation support project in
Mozambique.
