Boiler water treatment chemicals

Our boiler water treatment chemicals are used to prevent trouble in boilers and help them operate efficiently. We offer chemicals that meet high safety standards in terms of ingredients as well as chemical effects.
Scales and corrosion in a boiler water system represent the greatest threats to boilers. They damage equipment, lower the heat efficiency, and cause steam to leak. Optimal water treatment eliminates these energy losses, helps to reduce the volume of blow, and increases the drain recovery rate. Kurita develops a wide range of products to address these needs, drawing upon more than 60 years of accumulated experience and know-how in boiler water treatment. One example is our line of multipurpose boiler water treatment chemicals, known for containing high-performance de-oxidants and being capable of preventing corrosion and scale formation while simultaneously adjusting the pH. We also offer sludge dispersants, soluble agents capable of removing scales while driving, anticorrosion agents to protect the water-supply, steam, and condensate return systems from corrosion, and boiler maintenance agents for preventing corrosion when boilers are not in use. In addition to these products, we also offer boiler water treatment chemicals that contain DReeM Polymer, the first of their kind that add scale removing potential to multipurpose boiler water treatment chemicals, non-phosphorus boiler water treatment chemicals that satisfy phosphorus regulations, and boiler water treatment chemicals made from food and food additives. We will also satisfy the numerous other needs of customers, such as checking the effects of water treatment and the quality of steam generated from the boiler with the use of our original monitoring equipment.

Cooling water treatment chemicals

We offer cooling water treatment chemicals that prevent trouble caused by water as well as propagating of Legionella bacteria and improve the system operation efficiency in the cooling systems of factories and office buildings to help reduce their energy usage.

Air conditioning, which involves controlling temperature and humidity, is indispensable for facilities like super high-rise buildings, underground malls, hospitals, clean rooms, and computer rooms. Air-conditioning equipment uses a refrigerator and circulates cooling water. This water may cause scales and slime to form and lead to corrosion in a cooling water system. These considered to be the three biggest problems with cooling water, and can cause air-conditioners to shut down, shorten equipment life, and lead to energy loss.
Kurita has released the Kurisour Multi NT Series, which excels in separating slime and is capable of addressing the three problems with only a single agent.

We address all kinds of needs by offering an array of water treatment chemicals. These include OSR- (On Stream Remover) type detergents capable of removing calcium carbonate scale and slime without stopping the operation of equipment, water treatment agents for refrigerators to facilitate formation of the initial membrane in refrigerator copper tubes and removal of verdigris, anticorrosive agents for cooling and lukewarm water systems, cleaning and rusty-water prevention agents for the water supply and hot-water supply systems, and cleaning agents for the fins and filters of air-conditioners.

The cooling water systems at petrochemical complexes operate continuously for many years and at a high operation load. Kurita applies its wealth of experience in water treatment for industrial complexes, making use of the latest technologies. Kurita’s products sufficiently effective for equipment that has suffered from scales, slime, and/or corrosion, despite receiving conventional water treatment, helping to prevent corrosion from occurring and a decline in heat efficiency. In addition, we have water treatment technology that reduces the environmental impact, enabling customers to comply with recent strict environmental regulations.

RO membrane water treatment chemicals

These chemicals remove suspended substances, which degrade the filtration performance of RO membranes, and prevent dirt from adhering to membranes.
There are five problems associated with RO membranes: clogging, the deterioration of the permeable water quality, the decrease of water for treatment, the increased cost for membrane change, and the large amount of water used and wastewater generated. Kurita’s Kuriverter series represents the solution to these problems.
The Kuriverter series combines the use of slime control agents, anti-scale agents, pretreatment coagulants, and RO membrane cleaning chemicals to eliminate the root causes of problems. This is an example of the specific solutions that only a water company like Kurita can offer

Automobile paint booth chemicals

The chemicals separate residual paint in water in an automobile paint booth to properly maintain the circulating water quality level and contribute to the stable operation of the facilities.
Wet painting booths are used extensively in the painting of automobiles and auto parts. Aqueous paint, the most widely used form of paint in this process, contains a large amount of surfactants that may cause many different problems, such as environmental abnormalities and an increase in waste resulting from the formation of foam and poor coagulation. With proven track record over many years and wealth of experience in water treatment, Kurita developed a painting booth treatment agent that has a high foam-inhibition capacity, even for aqueous paint, and also exhibits a high coagulative ability to reduce the water content of paint sludge. These features help it reduce the total cost for paint booths.
In addition, keeping the paint booth’s circulating water clean and transparent helps reduce the many different costs associated with paint booths, such as those for wastewater, waste, industrial water, and cleaning. More importantly, it greatly reduces the environmental impact.
