Kurita Participates in the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) to Promote Water Sustainability

August 29, 2024

Kurita Water Industries Ltd. (Head Office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Hirohiko Ejiri; hereafter "Kurita") has joined the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS,) an organization that promotes water sustainability globally, as a member company in July 2024.

AWS is an international organization that promotes water sustainability, established by NGOs, the World Wild Foundation (WWF), the Nature Conservancy, as well as companies. To promote water stewardship (*1), AWS is making an effort to scale water stewardship and business action on water through the International Water Stewardship Standard (AWS Standard) and the certification against the AWS Standard to recognize good water stewardship performance (AWS Certification).

Based on the corporate philosophy "Study the properties of water, master them, and we will create an environment in which nature and humanity are in harmony," the Kurita Group makes contributions to the achievement of one of the Kurita Group's Materiality "Solve issues related to water resources" by providing solutions that harness water knowledge and by collaborating with various organizations.

Through the participation in AWS, the Kurita Group will aim to contribute further for solving issues related to water resources by promoting water stewardship in our sites and collaborating with various stakeholders in basins where our sites are located.

Please refer to the AWS's website (https://a4ws.org/) for checking their details.
