The Kurita Group will launch the campaign "Impact Together -Colorado River Basin Project*1" in Colorado river basin, United States, starting September 1, 2022. This campaign supports one of the activities for the Water Resilience Coalition*2 (hereinafter "WRC") in which Kurita Water Industries Ltd. has been a Leadership Committee member since July 2020. During the campaign, the Kurita Group contributes to water savings for customers through a superior water savings solution supplied by Avista Technologies, Inc.*3 (Head Office: California, U.S.) which is the Kurita group company that manufactures and sells RO chemicals, which are water treatment chemicals applied to reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, and donates based on the estimated water saved by the solution to a water conservation initiative*4.
In this basin water shortages are an urgent issue due to historical droughts. Through this campaign the Kurita Group works on solving issues related to water resources in the Colorado river basin by two aspects, "Water savings at customers" and "Contribution to a water conservation initiative".
