Kurita Water Industries Ltd. (Head Office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Michiya Kadota; hereinafter "Kurita") announces that its wholly owned consolidated subsidiary company, Kurita Kyusyu Ltd. (Head Office: Kitakyushu-shi, Fukuoka; hereinafter "Kurita Kyusyu"), has merged with Hyuga Kakou Ltd. (Head Office: Nobeoka-shi, Miyazaki; hereinafter "Hyuga Kakou") effective July 1, 2021. This will be an absorption-type merger with Kurita Kyusyu as the surviving company and Hyuga Kakou as the dissolving company.
Since its establishment in April 1975, Hyuga Kakou has expanded its business of mainly sales of water treatment chemicals centered around the Miyazaki Prefecture area, and has provided customer service closely attuned to the local region. As an authorized distributor for Kurita, Hyuga Kakou has been engaged in not only sales of water treatment chemical, but also sales of water treatment facilities, construction of industrial facilities and maintenance services, providing solutions to a wide variety of customer needs. This merger with Kurita Kyusyu will enhance the Kurita Group's business base and sales network in the region, and further accelerate the development of comprehensive solutions.
By leveraging the strengths of the Kurita Group across three business domains, namely water treatment chemicals, water treatment facilities and maintenance services, the Kurita Group aims to provide customers with higher value solutions by employing a range of technologies, products and services.
