Response of the Kurita Group in Japan Following the Japanese Government's Declaration of State of Emergency

Kurita Water Industries Ltd. (Head Office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Michiya Kadota) announces that its action introduced in response to the nationwide expansion of the state of emergency by the Japanese government on April 16, 2020, according to which Kurita Group officers and employees at all its business bases in Japan have as a general rule been working from home, has now been extended to May 15, 2020.

The Kurita Group’s business activities that involve going out will remain limited to those deemed necessary from the perspectives of business continuity of its customers and the Group itself and for responding to the demands of society, after appropriate measures to prevent the spread of infection have been taken. Its response on and after May 16, 2020 will be determined in consideration of future circumstances.

The Kurita Group will continue to make every effort to prevent the spread of infection in line with the policies of the Japanese national and prefectural governments. We sincerely appreciate the understanding of customers and all stakeholders for the inconvenience this situation has caused.
