Response of the Kurita Group in Japan Following the Japanese Government's Declaration of a State of Emergency

April 8, 2020

Kurita Water Industries Ltd. (Head Office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Michiya Kadota) has announced the following action to be taken by the Kurita Group in Japan in response to the state of emergency declared by the Japanese government on April 7, 2020, and requests to voluntarily stay at home made by a number of local governments to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

In regions subject to requests to stay at home, as a general rule Kurita Group officers and employees will work from home. Business activities that involve going out will be limited to those deemed necessary from the perspective of business continuity and responding to the demands of society, after appropriate measures to prevent the spread of infection have been taken. In regions not subject to stay-at-home requests, we will also take action to minimize outside business activities.

Moving forward, the Kurita Group will continue to make every effort to prevent the spread of infections in line with the policies of the Japanese government and local municipalities. We sincerely appreciate the understanding of customers and all stakeholders for the inconvenience this situation has caused.
