Kurita Water Industries Holds Learning Event for Children

Kurita Water Industries Ltd. ("Kurita"; Head Office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Michiya Kadota) today announced that it has decided to exhibit at EcoPro 2019, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from December 5 (Thursday) to 7 (Saturday). The event is organized as part of the Group's corporate citizenship activities carried out with a view toward realizing a sustainable society. The purpose of the event is to share the importance of water and the fascination of science with children who will play important roles in the future.

Under the theme "Towards a Sustainable Society," EcoPro 2019 is an environmental exhibition that introduces projects and other activities related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Recently, it has been used as a place for elementary and junior high school students to learn about the environment.

At our "Water Reclamation Station" booth, Kurita will present a program where children can understand the greatness and importance of water and learn the mechanisms for water reclamation in space under the theme "Water in Space, and on Earth." We will also exhibit a full-scale mockup of the water recycling technology demonstration system that we delivered to Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) this July, and implement filtration experiment demonstrations, among other activities.

The Kurita Group will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by providing the younger generation, leaders of the future, with opportunities to learn about water and environment in fascinating ways.
