Internal Proceedings Brought about by Violation of the Antimonopoly Law

On March 12, 2007, Kurita Water Industries Ltd. was convicted by the Osaka District Court of committing an act that violated the Act Concerning Prohibition of Private Monopolization and Maintenance of Fair Trade (Antimonopoly Law) in connection with bidding for a project to construct human waste treatment facilities. In connection with this matter, Kurita has implemented internal proceedings against those responsible, including the following action against executives.

Kurita is making every effort to prevent a recurrence of such violations by ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and will further work to fully restore confidence.
