Ultrapure water is indispensable in the production of semiconductors, liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and other flat-panel displays (FPDs). For water used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, even a minute amount of bacteria contamination is unacceptable. In our water treatment business, we provide these manufacturers with systems that treat water in such a manner as to meet their respective needs.
We also supply systems to purify water after it has been used by households and in industry to the level at which it can be safely discharged to natural water systems as well as systems to reclaim water for the efficient use of finite water resources. The Kurita Group is thus employing its long accumulated expertise and technologies to provide its customers with optimal water treatment systems that can produce water to meet their unique requirements.
In addition to manufacturing and selling water treatment facilities in Japan and overseas, the Kurita Group is also engaged in a range of related business, including operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities, chemical cleaning and tool cleaning.

We supply water treatment systems for a wide range of industrial uses, including the manufacture of pharmaceuticals such as injectable drugs and eye medications, beverages such as alcoholic drinks and boiler water for use in the electric power and steel industries.

We provide systems that recover and recycle wastewater from factories. These systems are also designed to recover and recycle valuable resources contained in wastewater.

These companies are engaged in a range of activities in relation to our water treatment facilities business, including the manufacture and sale/operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities as well as tool and chemical cleaning.

We have overseas subsidiaries engaged in the manufacture, sale and maintenance of water treatment facilities. Most of these subsidiaries are located in Asia, with others in the United States and Europe.
