Consecutive Orders Received for Water Treatment Plants for Major Chinese LCD Panel Manufacturers

Kurita Water Industries Ltd. (Head Office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshiyuki Nakai) has received consecutive orders for water treatment plants from two major Chinese LCD panel manufacturers ? Chongqing BOE Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. And China Electronics Panda Group.

In both cases, Kurita will deliver ultrapure water production systems that generate ultrapure water for LCD panel production, recycling systems for wastewater discharged in the LCD panel manufacturing process, and wastewater treatment systems that satisfy discharging standards. The total amount of the orders, including collaborative work with Chinese partner companies, is about 10 billion yen.

Kurita successfully received the order due to the high level of recognition accorded to the group companies’ experience in delivering water treatment plants in many overseas regions, centered on Asia, comprehensive capabilities in water treatment technology, and after-sales follow-up systems. The customers’ plants to which Kurita will deliver the facilities are cutting-edge LCD panel plants in China and high environmental consideration is strongly requested. In response, Kurita will recover industrial wastewater and make effective use of it as a new water resource, and recycle about 75% of the wastewater generated in the LCD panel manufacturing process.
